DO YOU KNOW ANYONE IN CHICAGO OR ANYTHING ABOUT THE CHICAGO MUSIC SCENE?
I'm going next weekend for work, and I know it's going to be a good trip. In my non-work time, I'd like to learn more than what the inside of a Hyatt looks like.

plenty of blues types places but some you will want to avoid....blues r&b is a cool spot near several others in lincoln park

The Citysearch Top 10 venues list has some good stuff, too, though I wish Citysearch would just fucking link to the websites of the businesses they write about (the businesses never advertise on their site, so it makes no sense). Good things at Kingston Mines and the Double Door this weekend. Can't believe I've been to Chi-town 3 times and have never been to a show there.
