I don't have a car. I don't need a car. I save money instead of spending it on gas. I don't care how much gas costs at retail establishments. I'm tired of hearing about it.
The people who drive the trucks who deliver the food to the stores where you buy it still care enough, however, to raise the prices on the food you eat...
Trucking firms are buying diesel in bulk (one hopes), not retail. We need more shit to move on trains, but cities like Boston and NY tore up their rail infrastructure to make more space for cars.
Of all the bullshit "now we're pro-environment!" schlock campaigns out there, the NS and CSX railroad ones are particularly good.
