WHERE IN THE WORLD?
Right now, on the outskirts of Indianapolis. It's 7:42am, and I've gotten the first sign of the sun actually coming up. It's 36 degrees out and I brought no coat. In LA it's 70.
So far this fall: Worcester, Halifax, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Newark, Long Island.
Coming soon: LA, Rochester, Salt Lake City, Denver, Edmonton, Vancouver OR Saskatoon, Raleigh-Durham, Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh.

I stopped for gas in Indianapolis late one night (about 3.30am) on the way to Columbus from St. Louis. I wound up staying for almost an hour playing "quarters" with a group of very burly locals. I left after winning about 4 bucks--it could have gone on forever since these guys weren't really bright enough to like, adjust tactics--but I didn't want to cause trouble. For that matter, I can only guess what 4 dollars means in Indianapolis (a tug? a week's rent?).
